RebuildTO, a non-profit initiative seeking to encourage change and restore community in Canada’s largest and most diverse city, is seeking a passionate and Community Storytelling Lead.
This volunteer role is perfect for someone looking to make a meaningful impact while gaining hands-on experience in storytelling, digital communications, and community engagement.
As part of the RebuildTO team, you will play an integral role in shaping how we tell the stories of our communities, contributing to the external voice and overall personality of our movement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Story Development and Production: Lead the creation of compelling stories that resonate with RebuildTO’s mission and values, collaborating closely with the Marketing, Brand, and Stories teams.
- Project Management: Manage the planning, execution, and timely delivery of storytelling projects, ensuring each aligns with project goals and scope.
- Team Coordination: Work alongside videographers, writers, and other creatives to bring diverse stories to life.
- Editing and Quality Control: Ensure all storytelling content is engaging, polished, and aligned with RebuildTO’s messaging and brand identity.
- Strategy Implementation: Partner with the Brand and Marketing teams to embed storytelling into broader communication strategies.
- Community Engagement: Work closely with the Community and Partnerships team to gather authentic stories that deepen the connection between RebuildTO and its audience.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in creative direction, storytelling, content creation, or production is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong organizational, leadership, and team management skills; ability to guide diverse creative teams.
- Creativity & Vision: Ability to craft inspiring and impactful stories that align with RebuildTO’s mission.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Time Management: Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
