RebuildTO is a non-profit initiative seeking to encourage change and restore community in Canada’s largest and most diverse city. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Community Research & Design Intern to join our team.
This volunteer role is ideal for someone who wants to contribute to meaningful community projects and gain valuable experience designing and developing impactful products and experiences.
As a member of the RebuildTO product team, you'll play a key role in shaping the data research and design process and leverage insights to build experiential social products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Host Community Conversations (User Interviews): Organize and conduct user interviews within the community to gather insights and understand needs and perspectives.
- Data Organization and Analysis: Organize and analyze data collected from conversations, surveys, and other activations to extract meaningful insights.
- Research and Design Process Support: Assist in creating and refining the research and design process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in product development.
- Project Management Support: Collaborate with the team to manage project timelines, tasks, and resources effectively.
- Insights Gathering and Strategy Alignment: Gather insights from data analysis and connect the dots to RebuildTO’s overarching strategy, ensuring alignment with initiative goals.
Requirements:
- Experience: Interest or experience in a relevant field or equivalent experience in research and design.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills for data interpretation, ability to organize and communicate insights effectively.
- Creativity and Innovation: Ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions based on research findings.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Time Management: Effective project management abilities to meet deadlines and deliverables.
Volunteer Role Specifics:
- Please note: this is a volunteer role
- Commitment: The expectation is for a commitment of 5-10 hours per week.
- Location: This position is entirely remote, with an expectation to be on weekly calls as needed.
